Noël dans le Parc Festival will offer « Concerts sous le sapin » for its 27th Edition

20 artists will perform virtually from December 18 to January 4, 2021


Montreal, QC, November 17, 2020 – The producers of the Noël dans le Parc Festival, the Auguste Théâtre, is proud to announce that it will be offering a series of virtual shows entitled “Concerts sous le Sapin”, from December 18 to December 25th. Thus, despite the pandemic, music lovers here will be able to experience the 27th edition of the Festival with the popular, Damien Robitaille, who is resuming his role as spokesperson. In addition to the 21 virtual concerts available until January 4, the Festival is continuing to sell Christmas trees online and Santa will deliver it to your home!

“We are very happy to be able to organize a slightly different edition of the Festival and to allow everyone to watch around twenty virtual concerts with their families, in the comfort and safety of their living room”, indicated Alain Gingras Guimond, the executive and artistic director for the event. “We had some new ideas to present to festival-goers for this edition, including a real Christmas market, but we have postponed all that until next year. As our goal is to maintain our offer of free concerts, we are focusing on presenting quality musical performances and the Christmas tree sale, which allows us to finance a large part of the event! “


Virtual concerts that can be seen everywhere and in complete safety

The 2020 programming gives a large place to popular and established artists, such as Bleu Jeans Bleu, Émile Bilodeau, Elisapie, Damien Robitaille, Florence K, LaF, Les Louanges, Milk & Bone and even Mononc ‘Serge!

Mr. Gingras Guimond is very proud to showcase the new creations of local artists. “We will also be able to see Lavabo, a group comprised of two troubadours from St-Élie-de-Caxton, Jeannot Bournival and Pascal“ Per ”Veillette, a comic instrumental duo.

Faithful to the Festival’s mission, the Concerts sous le sapin series will feature several emerging artists. We will be able to see Cindy Bédard, Gab Bouchard, Naya Ali and even a premiere with Félix Dyotte, a musician known for his many successful collaborations with local and international artists. “Félix will present the first single from his new album on November 27th and we will present the first show of his new album! “

Damien Robitaille, a regular at the Festival and Christmas music, will present the opening show on December 18 at 7:30 p.m. and will return on December 24 at 11 p.m. in a unique midnight mass, where he will sing “Minuit Chrétien” à la Damien … “Since March 2020, I have made more than 130 virtual musical recordings of all kinds, so why not end the year with a virtual midnight mass! “Said the cheerful artist, who has a few surprises in store for us, as usual.

The organizers have not forgotten children and families and will offer 6 virtual shows with Atchoum, Ari Cui Cui, Henri Godon, Relâche, Kattam et ses Tams-Tams and Maria Cannelloni, who has just launched her first musical album “Joyeux Flocon”. Each of the family shows will be unveiled daily at 1 p.m. from December 18 to 24th, and will be available for replay on the website until January 4, along with all the other “Concerts sous le sapin”.
